About
Curated by Serakai Studio, GOLD reimagines the historical salon as a contemporary space for art, design, and interdisciplinary exchange. Located in a former bank and jewellery shop, it bridges past and future — part exhibition space, part concept incubator, and part gathering point for creative collaboration. Through a curatorially driven programme spanning art, design, and visual culture, GOLD functions as a test lab for new models of engagement, exploring how creativity circulates and takes root in urban communities across Asia and beyond.
Serakai Studio is Serakai’s cultural think tank and R&D hub, exploring the intersections of culture, creativity, and the built environment. It drives Serakai’s cultural projects, publications, and exhibitions, including CONG, its journal of ideas and urban imagination, and GOLD. The Studio aims to shape future cultural spaces and act as a catalyst for new forms of cultural dialogue across Asia. Serakai Studio is supported by Serakai, an investor in the built environment focused on creating successful destinations in neighbourhoods anchored by art and culture in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and beyond.
